Hello there, my name is Emma Mackenzie, founder of MIMI KIDS’ HAIRCARE and mum of 2 amazing kids aged 6 and 4.
I am proud to be an Australian mum entrepreneur, creating Australian products that support Australian families in raising happy, healthy kids.
The idea for MIMI was ignited by my own struggles with managing kids’ hair. For 2 years I have been part of every single detailed step in bringing MIMI to life. So when you ask a question, I will be the one responding.
With any questions you may have about our products. I’ve lived and breathed cosmetics through a marketing career spanning 15 years. I have some stories to tell having managed brands across the Australian, UK and US markets for L’OREAL, Elizabeth Arden and Revlon.
For more technical questions, MIMI has a team of Australian experts across cosmetic formulation, testing and manufacturing. As well as access to a database of Australian scientific studies of cosmetic ingredients.
Teaching kids from a young age about the importance of self-care in developing a positive relationship with oneself through an emphasis on 'feeling good'.
I first learn't about the 'lipstick theory' 10 years ago and was instantly hooked by the idea that 'feeling beautiful' comes from within,

American cancer surgeon, Dr Cahan, first coined the term 'lipstick theory' after he observed considerable physical and mental health improvements in his patients that chose to wear lipstick during their cancer treatments. The positive state of mind that if you feel better, you will get better.
